There is a story of a king who had a competition to see who could create the best painting which symbolizes peace. One man made a painting of a forest scene. The other one was of a massive storm where everything was in flux. Things were being destroyed and yet in one tree there was a bird peacefully singing. The king felt this picture best symbolized peace. Because the reality of this world is that there is turmoil and violence everywhere. There is not going to be peace on earth on the material platform. There has never been from the beginning of history. But if we can find peace within ourselves and we can spread that peace to others, then there can be real peace. So if we build a foundation in our lives on the basis of truth, real hope, and love of God, then even if any storm or difficult situation may come upon us, we will be at peace.
We experience this because of a higher taste. By taking shelter of God one becomes fearless because one experiences the infallible love of God. To be fearless one has to feel complete shelter in the love of the Lord. Not shelter out of fear but out of love. If one feels deeply loved they become fearless and empowered by that love. We can transcend fears by experiencing the love of God through taking shelter of His holy names.
